Republic Day is definitely an international public holiday in India. It honours the afternoon on that your constitution of the country came into force on 26th January 1950 and thus transforming the country in to a new republic and thereby, the most developed independent country in the world. It is celebrated on the past Sunday of the month of January and is focused on celebrating all of the freedom and liberty which were enjoyed by the people of the country for higher than a hundred years. This day also signifies the famous freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi and India's freedom movement.
